PODIATRY AT CONNECTICUT ORTHOPAEDIC SPECIALISTS
Our Doctors of Podiatric Medicine are true trailblazers. Dr. David Caminear was the first podiatric surgeon in Connecticut to join an orthopaedic practice – doing so with Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists back in 1996. Since then he has been providing comprehensive foot and ankle care to thousands of thankful patients. His expertise is in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, trauma to the foot and ankle, and sports related ailments. He is also unique in the fact that he is board certified in both foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot & ankle surgery; a distinction that only a few podiatric surgeons have achieved.
Meanwhile, after completing his degree in podiatric medicine our other DPM, Dr. Jeffrey DeLott, became involved in Philadelphia’s largest interdisciplinary wound care center for diabetic limb salvage and Charcot reconstruction. He was involved with multiple biomechanical studies of the lower extremity while training at the Gait Study Center in Philadelphia. Since joining Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists in 2001, Dr. DeLott has gained extensive experience in all aspects of foot and ankle care including trauma, diabetic wound care and limb salvage, bunions, hammertoes, neuromas and heel pain. He too, has a particular interest in sports medicine and foot surgery.
We offer in-house testing for Connecticut patients seeking a podiatrist or a foot and ankle doctor, including X-Rays and MRI’s, plus our own Physical Therapy centers staffed by highly qualified physical and occupational therapists. Our own Surgical Center located in Branford, CT is staffed exclusively by us and is where most of our outpatient procedures take place.
